  • Protected essential services while demanding fiscal accountability.
  • Defended local control, the Greenbelt, coastline, and community character.
  • Advanced practical housing solutions, including office-to-housing conversions.
  • Elevated Hermosa’s regional voice as president of the Independent Cities Association, second vice chair of the South Bay Cities Council of Governments, and a Senate-appointed California Coastal Commissioner.
  • Built partnerships that brought resources, recognition, and major events to Hermosa, including the LA Rams Draft and Hermosa Beach Open.
  • Supported local businesses, youth programs, veterans, community organizations, and special events.
  • Led community gatherings that brought residents and businesses together to paint, plant, and beautify our city, including repainting the benches on Pier Plaza and painting and planting at the Community Center and South Park.
  • We also took a page from our friends in Lomita and worked with our Chamber to launch Hermosa Beach Lemonade Day. Our friends in Lakewood then followed our model to create their own successful Lemonade Day.
